                                                         IDENTIFYING  BIAS
1. ITEM 1:


*) Bias: Discrimination (From 0:00 to 0:40).                                                                                        
*) Analyse: The "Thai life insurance" advertisement is very successful in the main message that it wants to convey:" Thai life insurance is always be with you and take care of you (like the father's silent love for his daughter)". However, this ad also mentions to one social issue: discrimination against the person who has the difficult life. From 0:00 to 0:40 the little girl in the ad is always boycotted( eating alone) and mocked by her friends by laughing at her, writing the phrase" deaf dumb dad" on her back, or even on the board in front of the whole class to make her embarressed.   

2. ITEM 2:

*) Bias: Prejudice.
*)  Analyse: the woman in the picture thought that just man is  smart and knowledgeable.

3. ITEM 3: 
        
- Hán ngữ: “ Hậu sinh khả úyàngười trẻ có tài.
- Bias: Stereotype.
- Analyse:
People often think that the youngsters are always geniuses, but in fact there remains young people who are not really smart or good, or even are the bad ones.

  2. Thanks for your comment, but I still think it is prejudice because:
    +The opinion (just the man are the smart people-->it means the woman aren't knowledgeable one )of the women in the picture is a negative one.
    +She ignored the fact that: in reality there remains many brilliant women as well as there are man who are not so good.
    +It is just the opinion of hers and it couldn't be shared by other people.
    --> Hence, I think it's prejudice.

  3. in item 2, i think it is a kind of discrimination because her prejudice turned into action ( prefer talking to a man to a woman)

  4. In your item 2, I wonder the person thought that man is "knows something" should be the person on the phone who calling the women not the women herself.
