“Nhưng đến 87% các cô gái sau khi thử đều muốn dùng tiếp”
87% is an ambiguous number. It seems that a large number of girls want to continue with this shampoo after trial. However, the commercial doesn’t provide any details about the total number of girls participating in the experiment. The population of a research does play a vital role in making the research's results significant or not. There's no statistics to prove 87% to be worth considering. It can be 1 million, 10 thousand or even 10 girls. That’s why this commercial is not convincing. It commits a fallacy of ambiguity.
à Content fallacy: fallacy of ambiguity.

Personally, it's better if u supplement st:
ReplyDelete+ APPEAL TO POPULARITY: Millions woman try on Panteen and 87 percent want to keep up. i mean 87% have favourable emotion towards Panteen, therefore Panteen is a good product.
+ APPEAL TO CELEBRITY: at the end of ads, the starring dance performer- Linh NGa appeared and said"......"- the famous with endorsement product - a trick to stimulate customer to believe in pro quality and then buy it.
